“The European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC) created the Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer Online Community-Building Toolkit, the first such toolkit provided globally to anyone looking to create online communities to support patients, in particular those suffering from advanced non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC), their families and carers. Ahead of ESMO 2020, we are inviting NGOs, oncologists, healthcare providers and anybody impacted by NMSC to get involved and start an online community.”

Currently, most patients don’t have a way to connect to others like them, to share experience and support. Working together with more than 450 members worldwide, ECPC’s toolkit makes it possible to start building online communities to connect all those who have been severely affected by NMSC. The toolkit, containing practical guidance and ready-to-use material may be put to use by anyone who wants to help address the needs of patients with advanced NMSC, and help them to connect with others for support and to improve quality of life.
