The Association of Cancer Patients in Finland (Suomen Syöpäpotilaat ry) has launched a writing prompt and invites people to share their creative skills in order to find new and creative ways to talk about cancer.
As summer is approaching and more free-time is on the horizon, aspiring or budding writers could take this chance to write a story and maybe, see it published. So, if you are an aspiring writer or if you simply want to reach out to people and inspire them with your thoughts, this is the chance you have been waiting for.
Four potential topics for the writings are suggested:
- Benign work: (Me,) cancer and work
- Peer support
- Future cancer care/treatment and research
- Choose your own topic
The deadline is in September and anybody can participate, not just Finnish residents.
