We are happy to have in the ECPC family a new member, namely, Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE).

LuCE represents a voice for lung cancer patients at a European level. LuCE’s mission is to increase survival rates and improve quality of life for all European lung cancer patients.

In addition to providing a voice for lung cancer patients and their families, the organisation aims to:

– raise awareness about inequities in access to lung cancer treatment and care in Europe;

– advocate for European policies that will lead to improvements in lung cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and care (including palliative care);

– reduce the stigma associated with lung cancer;

– increase European funding allocated to lung cancer and support the establishment of lung cancer patient groups in European countries where they do not already exist.

LuCE1Lung Cancer Europe was founded in September 2013 and at the moment 8 lung cancer organisations from 8 countries joined LuCE.

The projects of Lung Cancer Europe coincide with ECPC’s project on lung cancer at EU level.

We look forward to working together and achieving concrete results in this area.
