COCIR is the European Trade Association representing the medical imaging, radiotherapy, health ICT and electromedical industries.
Nowadays, European health and care systems are facing multiple challenges, including a demographic shift to an ageing society and the increasing burden of chronic diseases. Furthermore, today we are witnessing a fragmentation of health and social care systems which need substantial reform to be able to deliver more efficient and people-centred care. Integrated care is increasingly recognized as the optimal way to achieve these goals, but harnessing the potential of digital health innovation demands all stakeholders in the health sector to align their efforts, through agreement on common plans and priorities.
