Virtual event: ‘Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan: Bridging the gap in breast cancer care’
Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in women in Europe. Despite recent advancements in treatment and survival, it still represents a threat to European citizens and society, as the disparities in treatment and care between and within EU countries remain.
With the Breast Cancer Awareness month approaching and the Cancer Plan still being developed, TBCT members decided to host an online event focusing around the realities of living with early and advanced breast cancer. The event will take place the 15th October from 12:00 to 13:30 aim to raise awareness of unmet need in breast cancer care and facilitate the discussion with EU stakeholders and policymakers around the challenges that breast cancer patients are facing daily and that the Plan needs to address.
Grazia Socca, legal specialist at ECPC, will participate in the event in the panel ‘Addressing an unmet need in breast cancer care’ presenting the project ‘The Right to be forgotten: putting an end to
discrimination’. If you want to know more about the speakers taking part in the event, please click here.
