The European Cancer Summit 2020 – Special Rates announced

The European Cancer Summit 2020 will be held in Brussels in person and virtually on 18 & 19 November. Pre-register here and select if you would prefer to attend in person in Brussels, or virtually, at the Special Rate for Patient Advocates available by 31 July.

Every year, the European Cancer Organisation (ECCO) brings together leading oncology specialists, patient advocates, politicians and policy-makers to discuss the main issues impacting cancer policy, for the benefit of citizens, cancer patients and healthcare professionals across Europe.

Besides discussing the impact of COVID-19 on cancer, the Summit will include sessions on Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan with Stella Kyriakides, the EU Cancer Mission with the EU Commissioner for Research and the EU Cancer Mission Board Chair, Vice-Chair and Patient Advocate.
The preliminary programme is available here.

COVID-19 and Pre-Registration

ECCO is aware that it might be better to hold the Summit as a virtual or hybrid meeting, because of social distancing measures and concerns of a potential second wave of COVID infection. Therefore ECCO will contact everyone who has pre-registered in early September with an update and further details to complete registration for those confirmed to participate.

Please Register Here.

Your donations not only help us to empower the cancer patient community and make a positive difference to healthcare, treatment and accessibility, but also enable us to:
  • ensure our members are engaged and feel part of an active community through information, training, unique resources, tools, opportunities and networking at a national and European level
  • legitimise our position of cancer patient representatives before decision-makers
  • build a reputation as a cancer patient expert within the scientific community
  • find partners sharing the same vision, values and goals to work together on projects
  • get the media’s attention in order to publish and disseminate our messages
  • make the general public aware and supportive
