NMSC in Europe: Tackling health inequalities, raising awareness of patients and informal carers, and improving their quality of life

Follow us on a webinar on the 28th October 2021 from 11:30h – 13:00h CET.

The webinar discussion will bring together decision-makers, cancer patients, their caregivers and healthcare professionals to explore the NMSC landscape in Europe, raise awareness and discuss ways to improve the quality of life of patients and their caregivers.

The webinar will provide a holistic overview of the state of play in NMSC and will seek to tackle the importance of awareness among the NMSC patient community, carers, vulnerable populations and the general population.

The webinar will also provide an overview of the socio-economic inequalities affecting NMSC patients across Europe, discussing differences within and between European Member States in terms of disease awareness and patient experience throughout the care pathway – including prevention, diagnosis, treatment and quality of life.

Furthermore, speakers will provide valuable insights on how to tackle the identified inequalities between and within countries to ensure all NMSC patients can have timely and affordable access to the right treatment.

The online event will not only raise awareness on NMSC, its symptoms and how it can be prevented but also on the relevant role that caregivers fill when a patient is diagnosed with NMSC.

Lastly, the webinar will address the importance of improving the quality of life (QoL) of NMSC patients as a key contributor to overall wellbeing.
