The Member state platform (work package 5) of Cancon has launched a call for experts in “Equity mainstreaming in the cancer control in Europe“.
The selected experts will provide a scientific and methodological support in the writing of a policy paper on the topic. The policy paper should include the description of the “state of the art” of inequalities (such as gender, socioeconomic position, ethnicity, territory in Europe), in cancer in a concise way. The paper should summarize the influence of the main inequalities, in the cancer continuum, from prevention, care, survivorship to rehabilitation.
The topic will be run by FISABIO (Spain), with the University of Turin (Italy), the Scientific Institute of Public Health (WIV-ISP; Belgium) and the European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC).
The deadline for applications is 14 of September 2015.
